John 15:16-17
KJV 16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. 17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.
NSB 16 »You did not choose me. I chose you and appointed you. You should go and bear fruit and your fruit should remain. Whatever you ask the Father in my name, he may give it to you. 17 »These things I command you, that you may love one another.
These are my thoughts, please share yours.
16 We are the fruit of Jesus because we are born off what He did at the cross. We are born of faith in Him. He bears us and grows us the way He wants us. The key is asking in the Father’s name to do this means it’s the Father’s will so if we ask the Father anything thing within His will we will be given it, we shouldn’t really be wanting things outside His will because there is nothing better then God’s will and we should be seeking His will.
17 We are to love each other not just with an earthly love but with the heavenly love that Jesus shows us.
