John 13:6-8
John 13:6-8 King James Version (KJV)
6 Then cometh he to Simon Peter: and Peter saith unto him, Lord, dost thou wash my feet?
7 Jesus answered and said unto him, What I do thou knowest not now; but thou shalt know hereafter.
8 Peter saith unto him, Thou shalt never wash my feet. Jesus answered him, If I wash thee not, thou hast no part with me.
John 13:6-8
NSB 6 When he approached, Simon Peter said: »Lord do you wash my feet?« 7 »You do not know what I do now,« Jesus said: »but you will understand later.« 8 Peter said: »You will never wash my feet.« Jesus answered him: »If I do not wash you; you have no part with me.«
These are my thoughts, please share yours.
6 Peter kind of put himself into a special place himself thinking that Jesus was good to wash the others feet but he was unworthy. The other disciples were not saying nothing but Peter would.
7 Peter was one the most lacking understanding even though he knew who Jesus truly was which not all the disciples did.
8 We have to let Jesus serve us that way we can know who we are to serve Him, He sets the example for what we are to do.
