John 11:54
KJV 54 Jesus therefore walked no more openly among the Jews; but went thence unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim, and there continued with his disciples.
Rotherham 54 Jesus, therefore, no longer openly, was walking among the Jews, but departed thence, into the country near the desert, unto a city called, Ephraim; and, there, abode, with his disciples.
These are my thoughts, please share yours.
Jesus public ministry had ended the time for Him to die was soon. We should not take this that Jesus ran from these people but went away until the Lord’s time had come. Sometimes we have to remove ourselves from others go away, this also does not mean we are to live without any outside contact with those of the world because if we have no contact with them then how can the come to faith. We sometimes have to remove ourselves from those negative, those of the world but we are never to leave the plan God has for us which Jesus did not do. Sometimes we need to just with those who are of the faith and be with our friends, perhaps to regroup or to prepare ourselves for things the Lord is going to do in our lives. We should always follow the Lord’s will.
