    About Prayer Empty About Prayer

Post by Susan Tue Apr 15, 2008 9:40 am

Does the LORD ever wake you up to pray for someone? HE wakes me up in the middle of the night, sometimes, with a person that needs prayer. I don't know the circusmstances, for the person needing the prayer, and sometimes I may never know the reason behind being woke up. Occassionally, the LORD will let me know why, several months or even years later. The person will contact me and start talking about a certain event where their life changed or that there was a special need that was met at a specific moment in time! The LORD is GOOD! We can always know that our prayers are heard and that we can depend on the LORD for answers, even when the answer may be, no.

This is the place where we can share our deepest needs with each other and pray together in unity, before the LORD. The BIBLE tells us:

Matthew 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.

James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
