Prayer for the day of rest

FATHER, we thank you for a day of rest. For being able to come into YOUR HOUSE of worship. To gather in fellowship with believers. For unity of spirit. We live in a nation where we can worship YOU, freely. Remind is, LORD, of our many blessings today. Let us praise YOU with thankful hearts. Let us open YOUR WORD, and glean truth, wisdom and understanding from our lesson. Let us apply the message given to our hearts and lives.

Keep us safe, as we gather to worship YOU. Give Pastors a boldness to preach YOUR WORD, honestly. We don't need or want any sugar coated sermons, but let the message be given straight from the heart, and directly from YOUR WORD. Be with our Deacons, Teachers and Missionaries today and throughout the coming week. Be with those who labour silently, for YOUR KINGDOM to come. Meet every need, heal every sickness among YOUR people.

Let YOUR LOVE, GRACE and MERCY abound today. We ask for hearts to soften, eyes and ears to be open, to receive YOUR MESSAGE of hope.That all across this earth, many will come to know JESUS and accept HIS GIFT of SALVATION. We are all sinners, LORD. YOUR SAVING GRACE, has set us free from bondage of our sins. We thank you, LORD, for this gift. Thank you for the HOLY SPIRIT ANOINTING.

Let our praise and worship be edifying unto YOU. Let our efforts to bring the GOSPEL MESSAGE, to others, be like seeds planted, watered and fertilized. Let the HARVEST be great. The souls of men, women and children be counted among the nations as YOUR children.

The enemy comes to steal.our peace and joy. We ask a hedge of protection around each of us this week. Forgive our sins. Bring remembrance to any hidden sins within our hearts, that we may quickly ask forgiveness. Let us also forgive others around us. Teach us to follow JESUS examples. Lead us along the narrow path, that we won't stumble. Let YOUR LIGHT SHINE brightly, within us. Build up our resolve, to serve YOU, no matter what situation we are in. Let others see JESUS IN us.

All these things we ask, in JESUS NAME, AMEN.
