Where are the Wailing Women?

Jeremiah 9:17 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, consider ye, and call for the mourning women, that they may come; and for cunning women, that they may come: 18 And let them make haste, and take up a wailing for us, that our eyes may run down with tears, and our eyelids gush out waters. 19 For a voice of wailing is heard out of Zion, how great are we spoiled! We are greatly confounded, because our dwellings have cast us out. 20 Yet hear the word of the LORD, O ye women, and let your ear receive the word of his mouth, and teach your daughters wailing, and every one her neighbor lamentation.

Calling for real wailing women to stand on the gap.

In this context, the women were paid to wail publically. They were counterfeits! The prophets were sent from GOD to pronounce judgement upon the people of Israel, and to bring them into repentance. But the people only laughed and mocked the prophets. Hence, Jeremiah calls for the counterfeits who are paid, to come and wail for Israel! Today, we see so much crime, on our tv sets and in the news. While some are for entertainment, they really are sending a delusion over us. We have become numb to what is happening in the world today. Mainly because we sit and watch this stuff on tv sets, night after night. In the news we see crimes of murder and mayhem, and don't blink an eye to it. Our world is laden with sin. And we have become complacent and accepting.

But GOD! Wants us to be crying out to HIM! He wants us to stand in the gap for humanity. HE wants us to see the world through HIS EYES, and have HIS HEART to feel what HE feels for us all! Our real mourning will begin, when we get sin out from in front of us, and the BIBLE in front of us. When we really dig into GOD's WORD, and begin to see what the results of sin are. For many people, GOD is just a manmade idol on a shelf. But the GOD I serve is a LIVING GOD, not made by man, but HE is the MAKER of mankind. We all have to take on the responsibility of reaching the lost and dying world. We were commanded to go out into the uttermost parts of the world and give the GOSPEL to all mankind.

Are we fearful? I would say yes, because we fail to tell others what their sins lead to. Are we loving them, when we turn a blind eye? No! We are not loving them! Any truth spoken is done in the love of CHRIST. If we give false testimony and tell someone that their sins are good, we are a lying! We have now commited a sin, to cover another sin. This is what satan wants!

Where are your real tears, for mankind? Where is the real mourners, who will pray without ceasing?

We must take up the role, for the next generation to follow and be an example. Not everything is rosey and pretty. But how we address issues, and earnestly reach out and pray for others, will speak volumes in young minds and hearts. Let's stand in the gap together! Let's be a force to contend with and stand up and pronounce the sins of this world, are a death sentence. Let's show others what living for CHRIST is really all about. Let's be the EYES, and MOUTHPIECE for GOD. Let's tell others the truth about a LIVING GOD who loved us so much HE sent HIS SON to save us. Being in gap, is more than just praying. It is actively seeking out and speaking up when necessary.
