According to Prevention Magazine, flaxseed may cut uncomfortable hot flashes in half. You can add about 4 tablespoons of flaxseed to yougurt, cereal or juice. Since flaxseed is high in fiber it is suggested that you start out by adding about 2 tablesoons of flaxseed to your diet and working your way up to the 4 tablespoons. The added fiber can cause abdominal discomfort.
