I think this is a horrible cult, but I'm not sure taking the children away from their mother's is the best way to handle it. They should give them the choice of staying with the cult or coming with the children. My opinion!!

I agree this is a horrible cult and I agree that taking the children away from their mother's is not the best way to handle this. We should pray for all involved in this situation. Now there are false claims being investigated too!

I think because it happened on a compund and was restricted to just members of the FLDS cult, that no one really knew what was happening. The previous leader, Warren Jeffs, was wanted by the FBI, in 2006, for poligomy and arranging marriages of underage girls with men. He is now seving time in prison and charges included rape.

I have followed this story closely. Many of the children who were taken did not come from polygamist homes within this 'compound' or whatever they call it. Before they even TOOK these kids they knew the phone call was a prank call from a mentally ill adult woman who had made the same kinds of phone calls previously.

I'm not a Mormon, but we have to be careful as Christians to not let the government get by with this sort of illegal behavior or we will be the next ones they will come after. They can already arrest us in some states if we spank our own children!

I've known Mormons and they are good parents. They don't deserve this type of treatment. I think some of these groups are a little squirley, but that is no reason to take their kids away. These kids are still WAY better off than so many kids growing up in ghettos or with druggy parents.

Praise the LORD! I feel that some justice has been done. This man used religion to cover up his perversion. In the TRUTH, GOD would never condone what this man has done. Now, my attention is turning to those who followed Warren, and allowed all of this to happen, to their families. Praying that the LORD will open their eyes, and they will repent of the evil that this man perpetrated.
