Idle Words~ Bridle the tongue!

Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. 37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
JESUS spoke plainly about using idle speach. Every word we speak we will also give an account of. Makes you wonder why some people can't stop talking.
Just a little joke there, but there is also a very serious thing to consider. How does the LORD look at our idle speach? HE talks about using a bridle upon us!
2 Kings 19:28 Because thy rage against me and thy tumult is come up into mine ears, therefore I will put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.
Psalms 32:9 Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto thee.
Psalms 39:1 I said, I will take heed to my ways, that I sin not with my tongue: I will keep my mouth with a bridle, while the wicked is before me.
Isaiah 30:28 And his breath, as an overflowing stream, shall reach to the midst of the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of vanity: and there shall be a bridle in the jaws of the people, causing them to err.
Isaiah 37:29 Because thy rage against me, and thy tumult, is come up into mine ears, therefore will I put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.
James 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.
James 3:2 For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
What is our lesson?
What are we animals are we compared to, that need use of a bridle?
What dose the WORD say about the animals, compared to us?
What is the tongue called?
Can you give the scripture where the tongue is mentioned, and why it is mentioned in that manner?
How do we keep from offending others?
Can we use religion as a weapon?
What happens when we speak too much?
What should we also bridle?
How can we use this lesson, to our benefit?
