When a loved one commits suicide. How do we react? Empty When a loved one commits suicide. How do we react?

Our church is suffering today. Yesterday, one of our members, found her oldest daughter had committed suicide. I ask that we lift up this otherwise faithful family to the LORD. I cannot imagine what compelled this woman to do such a thing. Only GOD knows what happened and why. I do believe that GOD can stretch seconds for an enternity to win a lost soul to CHRIST. She certainly knew about JESUS and HIS SAVING GRACE. When a member of our church is hurting, we all hurt with them. When a member of our church rejoices, we all rejoice.

How do we deal with such tragedy?

    Compassion

Ephesians 4:32 - And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.

Galatians 6:2 - Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

When a member of our church is hurting, we all hurt with them. When a member of our church rejoices, we all rejoice.

    Mercy

Luke 6:36 - Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.

Hebrews 4:16 - Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.

    Love

Romans 13:10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

    Grace

Colossians 4:6 Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

    Comfort

1 Thessalonians 5:11 Wherefore comfort yourselves together, and edify one another, even as also ye do.

    Prayer

James 5:13 - Is any among you afflicted? let him pray. Is any merry? let him sing psalms.
