Ok, so I like this idea, but, have some draw backs in mind. Is this a marriage of church and state? After all, a criminal is supposed to be jailed by the state. But we all know prison systems are failing, mainly due to over crowding! On the other hand, sending the misdemeanor offenders into churches, could be a good thing. They will have to listen to the message given each Sunday, and make sure they are marked present for services. On the other hand, they may also scare church goers, who think the HOUSE of the LORD is a safe haven. What were the misdemeanor offenses, and should church members be told in advance. What happens when purses are stolen during services? Can a Pastor account for every criminal sent into our midst? These are some of the things I can mention off the top of my head.

As Christians, we are all sinners SAVED by GRACE. Should we extend a Christian hand of FELLOWSHIP, for some who have sinned? Isn't our NT Commandment, to go and PREACH the WORD, unto all the world?

Hey, it still may not be a bad thought, after all, JESUS went to the tax collectors, the prostitutes, etc. And, HE CHANGED their lives!

There is a perplexing thought...and I want to know what you think about this?
