Old Churches or building new ones? Empty Old Churches or building new ones?

Post by Susan Thu Aug 26, 2010 7:47 pm

One of the most recent trends in one denomination, is to send in pastor's to close down old churches, with falling memberships. It is said, it is easier to build up new churches, than try to revive an old church congregation. The truth may be it is harder, but it is not impossible. Because all things are POSSIBLE with GOD. If you have a pastor, who preaches from the pulpit, about selling the church, or that he isn't there to grow the church, or that he isn't worried about the numbers, think again. There are some seminaries, training pastors, on how to close the doors of a church! I've learned this, from recent experience.

My prayer is that if you belong to an older church, who has lacking in new growth, to begin to pray people in. GOD will be FAITHFUL, if you listen for HIS INSTRUCTIONS.

A church, must be youth focused, because youth are future leaders in a church. Simply put, a church without children, is a dead church.

The stats say that 80% of Christians become so by the age of 18, with influences such as
    conventions, camps, retreats.

A church that is focused on the youth, will beging to see a community, that is being built upon.

So, pray that the church begin to get back to her first LOVE, JESUS. Follow the GREAT COMMISION, to go and bring the GOSPEL to others, then bring them into the church, and disciple them. Get right with GOD, get a BIBLE THUMPING Pastor, who preaches the WORD, and doesn't sugar coat it, and Pray, others in.
