    John 13:2-5 King James Version (KJV)
    2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;
    3 Jesus knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he was come from God, and went to God;
    4 He riseth from supper, and laid aside his garments; and took a towel, and girded himself.
    5 After that he poureth water into a bason, and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel wherewith he was girded.

    John 13:2-5
    NSB 2 The devil influenced the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son. So he betrayed him during the meal. 3 Jesus knew that the Father had given him power over all things. He also knew it came from God and he returns it to God. 4 He got up from the meal and laid aside his garments. He wrapped a towel around his waist. 5 Then he poured water into the basin and washed the disciples’ feet. He wiped them with the towel he was wearing.

    These are my thoughts, please share yours.

    2 This was the Passover meal, they would have each year but this year it was different because this would be there last before His death. The devil used Judas to accomplish what he wanted but God allows this to have His will done.

    3 Satan is under God’s authority even though he chooses not to follow God, when God will is something even Satan can not go against it. Jesus would have to go back to the Father as He left the Father to come to earth to fulfill His purpose.

    4 Washing feet was commonly done before eating because they would lie down as they ate.

    5 It is the common place for the servants to wash the feet or the lowest ranked person in this group Jesus would traditionally been the last one thought of to wash feet because they all were His disciples so they should be washing His feet, but He shows He came to serve to benefit us.

    I think it's cool that Jesus served. Everyone should serve too, since God himself served others!
