Obama to make press dinner debut

Depending on your point of view, the White House Correspondents' Dinner is either a great party where journalists get to press the flesh and network with the rich and famous - not to mention powerful - or a huge jolly that highlights just how cosy the relationship between the media and politicians has become.

This is just more bad taste, coming from our newly elected President. Yes, as one of the article states, there are too many things are wrong with this dinner. First off, the Prez, bypasses a National Day of Prayer, he prefers being a commedian, and a bad one at that...Mr. President, you were not elected, to tell jokes. Being President, you should be focusing on more serrious matters. My vote on this event? Two tumbs down! pale Simply put, the President, shouldn't joke around, when our country is in such bad shape. I am tired of hearing the blame game, and am ready to hear some clear answers.
