Democratic Presidential hopeful, Obama, took delegates in Vermont. Clinton was the overall winner, taking delegates in Texas, RI and Ohio.

Republican, McCain wrapped up his nomination with the number of delegates needed.

    Do-Over in Michigan and Florida?
    http://www.breitbart.com/article.php?id=D8V7N33G0&show_article=1

I think they should "do-over" these two states, because the delegate votes were thrown out. Obama's name wasn't mentioned on the MI voting machinges, and the voter's need to be heard in these two states.

Presidential Race Empty Sometimes voting is like choosing between the devil and the deep blue sea

Post by Friend of God Sun Jul 06, 2008 2:42 am

    Hi Susan.....

Been awful busy, I was sick and down for awhile, but the hot weather makes me sick too....so it's up and down for me this summer until the weather stablelizes, but back to the topic.....

I don't care for McCain, but I will be voting for him.....but it's like picking between the devil or the deep blue sea. So I feel like I am picking the "deep blue sea". Sad

Obama scares my on a number of levels. He's a great speaker....and almost seems to mesmerize the people he's speaking to.....something Hiltler was good at. Hitler spoke of the "people's this and that, making promises....but he turned the world upside down. Have you noticed that Obama doen't seem to look at the TV camera but turns his head from side to side....this way you can't get a "good read" on him....when he speaks becasuse he's not looking into the camera.....I find that very interesting. It was my husband who asked me to come and sit and watch Obama speak...."notice" he side "he does not look at us in the camera, but only side to side. I've noticed that about him when he is "speaking" to us....

I have read a lot about Obama, and I don't like what I read. He makes all these promises about change, and promises for the "little guy"... but that will only mean "heavy taxation"......Obama wants to make every Americian to pay a "global tax" somewhere around $8,000.00 each person... and give it to the UN for the poor and needy! We already pick up just about the whole tab of the UN aleady! Have you ever read "The Beast on the East River" by NathanTabor......boy if that doesn't make one's head spin, I don't know what will! Razz When a doctor in the book who use to worked for the UN tells you if the "men in blue helmets" (UN Troops) come to your town or village, buy guns or run for the hills...this makes you want to know why the US is still with the UN. Very good book.....will open your eyes on a lot of things that are taking place in the world. Obama is close to the UN and that's frightening too. For the UN has always voted against the US on just about everything, and we pick up the 90% of the Tab for the UN.....just think what we could do with that money for our country and our people if we used that money to take care of our own.....and those coming here.....were talking about LOTS of money. affraid

I was in a local store here in the Northwest a few months ago, and saw this elderly man that looked as if he was a Russian or Greek Orthodox priest. I finally worked up the courage and walked up to him and asked him if he was a Russina or Greek Orthodox priest. He smiled and said,"I don't think you will know what I am. I'm a Coptic priest." Neutral
I smiled back at him, and said," I know what you are, you are very similar to the Russian and Greek Orthodox and your priest can trace their linage back to the Apostles, you are from Egypt is that correct."
He smiled, and grined, "Yes, you are right." Very Happy
I said how do you like it here, and before he could answer me, I said, "I just want to tell you this is not the America I grew up in....our society has changed so much, people no longer respect other people, or are kind and helpful to strangers.
His face was sad, and he said, "I am from Egypt, and the people in Egypt, and the middle East, know that Obama is Arab. He may play the part of being a Christian, but he's Arab and he will not be good for America. If he become President, he will change things....and not for the good. People in the Middle East know this, and that's why they want him to be President. I don't kniow why the media does not tell the truth about him. But, it is too bad that the American people are being "fooled" by this man. Obama can not be trusted."
I said, "Thank you for sharing that with me. I had gotten an e-mail from a friend who's friend is a missionary in the Middle East or Africia....and in the letter it said just about the same thing you said! That's so weird and both happened week." I said, "I have to go now my husband is ready to leave, it was very nice meeting you, thank you ever so much for sharing with me your feelings." I waved goodbye and he blessed us with the sign of the cross, and smiled and waved goodbye.

Was I surprised by this information? No. I feel this old Indian saying applies to Obama," "He speaks with fork-tongue".

Americans need to be on there knees, repenting for our country, and what's we've become. If Christians do not get on their knees and repent for this country, Judgement will be coming....sooner than most think. Shocked

Friend of God, thank you! AMEN. We as American's are being dupped. From one Nattive American Indian descendent, Obama, does speak with a forked tongue. I guess you understand where my vote will be going.

    I also agree with this:

Americans need to be on there knees, repenting for our country, and what's we've become. If Christians do not get on their knees and repent for this country, Judgement will be coming....sooner than most think.

The VP Debate was tonight, and after watching it, I feel that Gov. Palin, has held her ground and stayed focused, a lot better than Sen. Biden. I will post some news reviews in the morning

Obama has slim 2-point lead on McCain

    http://www.reuters.com/article/politicsNews/idUSTRE4961BK20081008

I watched the Second Presidential Debate, last night, and it was about as average debate as one can get. I feel that some of the questions posed, were leads off other questions, and the selection process for picking the town hall questions, might have been a little better, if there had been more of a variety of questions. My overall feeling after the debate, was one of the candidates has a Socialistic agenda. Socialism, according to Merriam Webster Dictionary is:

    Main Entry: so·cial·ism
    Pronunciation: \ˈsō-shə-ˌli-zəm\
    Function: noun
    Date: 1837
1: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods
2 a: a system of society or group living in which there is no private property b: a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state
3: a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done

The US is based on a Democratic System of Government. The Merriam Webster Dictionary states that this:

    Main Entry: de·moc·ra·cy
    Pronunciation: \di-ˈmä-krə-sē\
    Function: noun
    Inflected Form(s): plural de·moc·ra·cies
Etymology: Middle French democratie, from Late Latin democratia, from Greek dēmokratia, from dēmos + -kratia -cracy
    Date: 1576
1 a: government by the people ; especially : rule of the majority b: a government in which the supreme power is vested in the people and exercised by them directly or indirectly through a system of representation usually involving periodically held free elections
2: a political unit that has a democratic government
3capitalized : the principles and policies of the Democratic party in the United States
4: the common people especially when constituting the source of political authority
5: the absence of hereditary or arbitrary class distinctions or privileges

"We the People, in order to form a more perfect union";is the opening line of the Declaration of Independence. It was formed to give each of us independent rights. If we adopt the Socialist point of view, we are giving up our independent rights.

We need to understand the importance of this debate, and the implications of each candidates motives.

I disagree with the polls, I think McCain did an awesome job of shedding light on his economic plans, and caught Obama in some lies.
