Asp and Adders

I had this dream about two nights ago. This is the only protion of the dream that I remember.

In the dream I am in a house. I see the same woman/angel that I saw in this dream:

In the dream I am trying to save my grandsons and we are being chased. In am inside of a hallway or small closet, trying to lift my grandsons into a crawl space above us. This is not a house that I recognize, yet I knew to get inside this closet for safety! The grandsons are all safely moved out of danger. Then the door closes, and this woman/angel is releasing snakes at my feet. I remember them being asps and adders. I am trying to stay above the reach of the snakes and grasping for a way to pull myself up. I remember crying out to GOD, to save me. Then I remember hearing: "Fear not, for the snakes can not harm you". I remember a BRIGHT LIGHT SHINING, where I was at, and then the snakes were gone.

End of dream.

The snakes and the woman/angel, both are signs of SPIRITUAL BATTLE.

Genesis 49:17 Dan shall be a serpent by the way, an adder in the path, that biteth the horse heels, so that his rider shall fall backward.

Luke 1:76 And thou, child, shalt be called the prophet of the Highest: for thou shalt go before the face of the Lord to prepare his ways; 77 To give knowledge of salvation unto his people by the remission of their sins, 78 Through the tender mercy of our God; whereby the dayspring from on high hath visited us, 79 To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.

These dreams hold a PERSONAL APPLICATION for me. I recognised the person in the dream, and know that what the enemy, has come in to destroy all that is GOOD, including this person's (the angel/woman) FAITH. In a real application, I see many Chirtians who have stood outside the Church, because of bitterness and pride, over something said about them, within the walls of the Church. This is a prime example of how the enemy can seperate us from FELLOWSHIP with one another. Some will never get over the fleshly hurt that they have felt. Oftentimes, they will hold on to this sin, to punish the other person! I can attest to this, within my own family, and I pray that the LORD will PRICK their hearts to HIS TRUTH. It isn't about us,VINDICATIONG ourselves; but about us, SERVING HIM. There will always be NAYSAYERS, and GOSSIPS within the Church. This TRUTH is found in HIS WORD.

I could see that this person (angel/woman) still has issues of bitterness towards me. Anytime we harbor bitterness or hatred for another person, we are standing in sin, and the DOOR of OPPORTUNITY is there for the enemy to use us. This is why I have been searching the WORD and in PRAYER about anything that I may have done that was CONTRARY to the WORD. I seek the LORD still, concerning this situation, and any sin that I have. I ask the LORD to forgive me, and even to prick my heart, concerning these issues, of my own guiltiness, not only towards this person, but any sin that I may have, I give to the LORD, and REPENT. I know that the enemy has had a field day, whenever we allow sin into our lives. The enemy stives for broken relationships, in the Christian Community. But what the enemy means to DESTROY, and for harm, the LORD will turn around, for HIS GOOD.

To be honest, I had a bitttersweet struggle with this confirmation, because I have been praying for a little over a year now, for this one person. The LORD is also showing me the SPIRITUAL BATTLE, through HIS EYES. I had a hard time seeing this person (angel/woman) in the condition of sinfulness. HE does not want STRIFE and CONTENTION, to interfere with HIS children. In the dreams, the LORD rescues me, in these dreams, and I am STANDING in HIS FULL ARMOUR, HIS WORD, and in PRAYER. I also pray for this person (angel/woman) that she may also ask the LORD to forgive her, and move towards RECONILLIATION.


This is what the LORD has been showing me, concerning sin in our life:

I can share that this is a continuation of spiritual warfare. The asp and the adders represent innuendo's and insinuations.

Their poison is like the poison of a serpent - When they bite, they convey poison into the wound, as the serpent does. They not only injure you by outward acts, but by their malevolence they poison your reputation. They do you as much evil as they can, and propagate the worst reports that others may have you in abhorrence, treat you as a bad and dangerous man; and thus, as the poison from the bite of the serpent is conveyed into the whole mass of blood, and circulates with it through all the system, carrying death every where; so they injurious speeches and vile insinuations circulate through society, and poison and blast your reputation in every place. Such is the slanderer, and such his influence in society. From such no reputation is safe; with such no character is sacred; and against such there is no defense. God alone can shield the innocent from the envenomed tongue and lying lips of such inward monsters in the shape of men.

Psalms 58:4


Their poison - Their malignity; their bad spirit; that which they utter or throw out of their mouth. The reference here is to what they speak or utter Psalms 58:3, and the idea is, that it is penetrating and deadly.

Like the poison of a serpent - Margin, as in Hebrew, "according to the likeness." In this expression no particular class of serpents is referred to except those which are "poisonous."

Like the deaf adder - Margin, "asp." The word may refer either to the viper, the asp, or the adder. See the notes at Isaiah 11:8. The "particular" idea here is, that the serpent referred to was as it were "deaf;" it could not be tamed or charmed; it seemed to stop its own ears, so that there was no means of rendering it a safe thing to approach it. The supposition is that there "were" serpents which, though deadly in their poison, "might" be charmed or tamed, but that "this" species of serpent could "not." The sense, as applied to the wicked, is, that there was no way of overcoming their evil propensities - of preventing them from giving utterance to words that were like poison, or from doing mischief to all with whom they came in contact. They were malignant, and there was no power of checking their malignity. Their poison was deadly, and there was no possibility of restraining them from doing evil.

That stoppeth her ear - Which "seems" to stop her ear; which refuses to hear the words and incantations by which other serpents are subdued and tamed. Others, however, refer this to the man himself, meaning, "like the deaf adder he stops his ear;" that is, he voluntarily makes himself like the adder that does not hear, and that will not be tamed. The former interpretation, however, is to be preferred.

ear--that is, the wicked man (the singular used collectively), who thus becomes like the deaf adder which has no ear.

It is the LORD that gives PROVISION for RESTORATION. It is never by our own might, but through HIM that these SPIRITUAL BATTLES are won!

Dear Susan

I have gone through your dream and statements. When a person sees snakes, scorpions, cockroaches, lizards, these are basically signs of Black Magic. These signs can be through dreams or you see them as a reflection on walls or floors. By reflection I mean that it seems that you saw some lizard or a snake for a second but there is none. I would say that you should ask your Pastor to pray.

Thank you Brother Waqar Daniel. Yes, when any of the creatures you have mentioned are seen within a dream, I see them as an attack of the enemy. They are often associated with black magic, and for a good reason. We know that the devices of the enemy (satan) comes to seek and destroy all that is GOOD and HOLY. He comes to destroy the LORD'S children, in the same manner. BUT, GOD will never leave or forsake us! AMEN! Our HOPE is in HIM.

The answer to my dream is that what the enemy meant for harm has been turned around for the LORD'S GLORY! I have PEACE that SURPASSES ALL UNDERSTANDING! AMEN!
