Stockpiling groceries
Our recent stockpile of groceries. This stockpile will last us several months. The first picture is only part of what is on a six foot table.
The second image, is mostly meats and refrigerated items. We divide the meat and package it into portion sized meals, and freeze them. Buying meat, this way, saves us money, because we are buying in larger quanitites.

Re: Stockpiling groceries
All of this, was a little over $300. We saved money and bought the meats and some items in bulk. What items that we may need, will be purchased with using q's. We look in our ads, to see what is on sale, and match up q items with the sale items, to maximize the purchase dollars. What we save, we can now put aside, for the bulk item purchases.

We also buy large quantities, of carrots, onions and peppers, garlic, which all can be frozen. We chop our onions, peppers and garlic, and package in portions, which make following most recipes, easy. The chopping is all done, and it is ready to use. We also freeze celery in the same manner, when it is on sale. We chop and mix, carrots celery and onion, for soups. We also chop and mix, garlic, onion and peppers, for other dishes, such as spagetti sauce, and for meats.
Stockpiling groceries, means we buy only what we will use, and we don't buy a lot of junk foods. I have found that in doing this, we save money in the long run, and we are eating healthier meals! We try to purchase enough to last at least 12 weeks. We use the Food Saver, for bagging our meats and veggies, and this allows the frozen foods a longer shelf life. We have yet to have any freezer burn! The dry goods, such as flour, and cornmeal, can also be kept in the freezer. Other dry goods, are stored in glass containers, or plastic containers, with tight fitting lids.
I hope that this motivates you to create your own stockpile and save money, by living more frugally.

Re: Stockpiling groceries
Nice stockpile! I have a hard time stockpiling for two people, and we always end up with leftovers that almost always end up getting thrown out, unfortunately, as there's only so much food two people can eat. It's really difficult to make a meal small enough for two people when most of the stuff at the stores is geared towards larger families.
