Obama Tries to Restore Order on Gitmo, After Senate Blocks Closure Funds

President Obama will deliver a speech Thursday addressing plans to close the Guantanamo detention camp as Democrats back off support for funding the closure.

    Excerpt:

President Obama is trying to keep Democratic unrest from derailing his plans to close the Guantanamo Bay detention camp after the Senate voted overwhelmingly Wednesday to yank money for shuttering the prison.

Some Guantánamo detainees to get laptops

To better prepare them for life in asylum, the U.S. military is setting up a virtual computer lab for some Guantánamo captives now cleared for release.

    http://www.miamiherald.com/news/nation/story/1073991.html

Uhmmmm...does this seem a little extreme? Not even the prisoners of our home prisons, are given such luxury items. Here's a thought, instead of taking US tax dollars to give away lap tops, to terrorists, in GITMO, how about using the money by giving jobs to American Citizens, who have been laid off, because of the economy. Even now, the number of laid off workers has grown. American workers, are loosing their jobs, with GM going bankrupt.

Perhaps our newly appointed CYBER CZAR, is watching the terror suspects, movements on the internet?
