    Lunch Box Empty Lunch Box

Post by Waqar Daniel Sun Aug 10, 2008 5:30 pm

What a child's lunch box can hold? Let us examine in these modern times, as once a High School Teacher, I have a pretty good idea what a small child's lunch box can hold.

    Lunch Box

    1. A Sandwich
    2. A biscuit or two
    3. A bar of chocolate

A child's Lunch Box is small and if that child shares with his/her class mates, I am pretty much sure, that none of them will have more than a small bite and they would surely go hungry.

Can a child's lunch box will be enough for the whole school having a strength of 5,000 students, teachers, support staff and other staff at the school. You must be thinking that I am out of mind. How can a Child's Lunch Box containing a Sandwich, a biscuit or two and a bar of chocolate bar can feed 5,000 students, teachers and other staff at the school?

I know it is not logical but when I read Bible, I find our LORD and Savior feeding 5,000 plus people to their satisfaction with a child's lunch box. What an awesome God we serve and worship.

A little boy is here who has five barley loaves and two fish; but what are these for so many? And Jesus said, Make the men to recline. And much grass was in the place. Then the men reclined, the number was about five thousand. And Jesus took the loaves, and giving thanks distributed to those reclining. And in the same way the fish, as much as they desired. And when they were filled... (John 6:9-12)

The point here is that during all my life, I have been reading and listening to this story but never understood it till last night, when I pondered on the situation.

People grumble about their situation/s or hard times they face but they never turn to LORD and Savior Jesus Christ, who could feed 5,000 plus people to their satisfaction with a child's lunch box.

Won't you believe in LORD and Savior Jesus Christ and give your life to Him?

AMEN and WOW! Thank you for sharing this! Yes, what JESUS did then, with a child's lunch, HE can still do today! Notice, HE gave thanks for the bounty, before HE passed out the food. What was amazing, is that the left over food, filled up several baskets and could easily feed even more than the 5000 that were fed that day. What a MIGHTY LORD we serve! AMEN!
