A Strong Foundation
The LORD is our foundation!
We know that JESUS is the CHIEF CORNER FOUNDATION, of our belief in GOD! In Psalms a prophetic word was given to describe our Corner Foundation in CHRIST.
Psalms 118:22 - The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
It was fulfilled in Acts 4:10-12 10 Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole. 11 This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner. 12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Psalms 11:3 - If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
The prophetic question in Psalms leads us to the answer in the New Testament! We know that JESUS was hung on the Cross of Calvary, for our sins. Our CHIEF CORNERSTONE, rejected and destroyed? No! GOD's plan was for JESUS to be a FIRM FOUNDATION, for us. Our FOUNDATION can not be destroyed by man or by satan!
Our foundation is secure in CHRIST JESUS!
1 Corinthians 3:11 - For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.
Isaiah tells us that GOD HIMSELF has laid a foundation, in Zion! Which we all know is JESUS! Another prophetic word!
Isaiah 28:16 Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste.
Fulfilled in:
1 Peter 2:4-10 4 To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, 5 Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ. 6 Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, Behold, I lay in Sion a chief corner stone, elect, precious: and he that believeth on him shall not be confounded. 7 Unto you therefore which believe he is precious: but unto them which be disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed, the same is made the head of the corner, 8 And a stone of stumbling, and a rock of offence, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient: whereunto also they were appointed. 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon. 11 For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ. 12 Now if any man build upon this foundation gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, stubble; 13 Every man's work shall be made manifest: for the day shall declare it, because it shall be revealed by fire; and the fire shall try every man's work of what sort it is. 14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward. 15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
GOD has given us a sure foundation and a Chief Cornerstone in JESUS!.
