When GOD repeats HIMSELF to us!

As a mother, I often repeated myself to my children. It was to get their full attention to what I was trying to get them to do. GOD, throughout the WORD, and often, repeats HIMSELF! Very much for the same reason as a mother does.

In Psalms we will find a verse repeated in another chapter. We can look up words and phrases that are repeated, throughout scripture. "Do not fear", or "Fear Not," are some of the words that were repeated, and we should take heart that we are not to fear!

In Romans, we are given an answer to why we should pay close attention to GOD'S WORD, especially when GOD repeats HIMSELF!

Romans 15:4 (KJV) For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.

In 2 Timothy 3:16-17, we find that all scripture is given by inspiration, for doctrine, for correction and for instruction, that man may be perfected by GOD.

16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

GOD uses repeated phrases and words, to get our attention, and for teaching us lessons. This could easily be a long lesson, but for now, I will leave you to be alerted to the neccesity, that GOD has placed within HIS WORD. We all shall be using wisdom and have greater understanding, when we linger over those repeated words and phrases.

Psalm 119:11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.

Psalm 119:11 105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
