The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: But fools despise wisdom and instruction.

Some of the most worldly knowledgeable people, miss out because they refuse the desire to know GOD. They create a fantasy world around them. As the BIBLE says, they have a form of understanding. Yet, book knowledge will not get you into heavens gates. Worldly knowledge, will only help you navigate through worldly things. We are missing the spiritual things, that lead to eternal life. Have you ever heard the saying, "book smart and street dumb?" Or, "street smart and book dumb?" Either way, the person can not fully have wisdom and understanding, because the key factor is missing. What is missing is a relationship with the TRUE LIVING GOD. Our CREATOR of heavens and the earth, who loves us.

The hardest lessons come to rebellious children, who run from everything their parents have to offer. Yet, eventually, if those children have learned anything while running, is they need their patents love. This is the beginning of building relationships. It is the beginning of knowledge a parent can give to the child, in order for the child to navigate all the world throws at them.

The truth is, our HEAVENLY FATHER desires a relationship with us, just like a patent desires a relationship with their child(ren). GOD desires to give us a road map to navigate by. HIS WORD, is our road map. Our time spent in HIS WORD, increases our knowledge and understanding of who HE IS and HIS PURPOSE for us. It is a personal, loving relationship that is forged over time.

I don't claim to know all the answers to life's problems. But I know where to look for the answers. There was a time in my life, where I would not admit, I didn't have the right answers. I was puffed up in worldly knowledge, but didn't have common sense to admit I was just as dumb as a rock in some areas of my life. Then, I met the ONE, who SAVES, who gives me love, grace and mercy. The ONE who has all the answers I will ever need. HIS NAME is JESUS. It is through HIM, I met the FATHER, And HE sent HIS COMFORTER, so that I will never be alone. A mentor, to guide me through all the world throws at me. HE set me upon a narrow pathway.

FATHER, we thank you for YOUR LOVE for us. It is through knowing JESUS, we know YOU. Thank you for the guidance we receive through the HOLY SPIRIT and through YOUR WORD. Thank you for wisdom and understanding. Thank you for SAVING us from ourselves. Remove stubbornness of spirit, and replace it with willingness to seek YOUR TRUTHS. The world may be against us, but YOU, OH LORD, are for us. We praise YOUR NAME. Increase our wisdom and understanding. Give us answers to life"s most pressing questions. Let us be the light to the mind and heart those we encounter daily. We need YOUR GUIDANCE, now, more than ever. In JESUS NAME, AMEN.
