John 12:41-43
John 12:41-43 King James Version (KJV)
41 These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
42 Nevertheless among the chief rulers also many believed on him; but because of the Pharisees they did not confess him, lest they should be put out of the synagogue:
43 For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.
John 12:41-43
NSB 41 Isaiah said these things because he saw and spoke about his glory. 42 Many of the rulers believed in him, although they did not confess their faith because of the Pharisees, for they would be expelled from the synagogue. 43 They loved the glory from men more than the glory from God.
These are my thoughts, please share yours.
41 To see in advance what Jesus would do would have something special but today as believers we know what He has done for us but are we as willing to share with others as Isaiah was?
42 They believed but did not receive Him because of their fear, Satan knows who He is just as they did but Satan does not submit to Him out of pride these people did it out of fear. They let fear keep them from salvation.
43 They wanted to be praised by men but true faith is following God even with the hate of men, if they would have followed Jesus they would have went away when times got hard, we may know many who claimed they knew Jesus but as times got hard they left.
