John 12:27-29 King James Version (KJV)
27 Now is my soul troubled; and what shall I say? Father, save me from this hour: but for this cause came I unto this hour.
28 Father, glorify thy name. Then came there a voice from heaven, saying, I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.
29 The people therefore, that stood by, and heard it, said that it thundered: others said, An angel spake to him.

    John 12:27-29
NSB 27 »I am troubled! What should I say? Father, save me out of this hour? It is for this purpose that I came to this hour! (Hebrews 5:7) 28 »Father, glorify your name.« A voice came from heaven: »I have both glorified it, and will glorify it again.« 29 The crowd near him only heard thunder. Some said an angel spoke to him.

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

27 Sometimes we focus so much on what we want, we think we know what is best for us, when truly the Lord knows what is best and we do what He wants of us. Jesus did not have to die but rather chose to because of His love for us. Jesus came to die so that we may live thru Him be saved by Him.

28 Our goal as Christians should bring glory to the Lord in all we do. Jesus presented the perfect example of how we should interact with God. Jesus’ name would be even greater after He died than before hand, if Jesus had not died His name would not be praised today.

29 No matter what happens there will always be doubters, people did not know the voice of the Lord, people thought an angel spoke to Him, that was complete nonsense, and put to much focus on angels, the devil loves when we take focus off the Lord and put it elsewhere. Angels do not bring men glory, I do not angels to think anything of me if my Lord does not think that way, what He think is what truly matters to me.
