    John 12:14-16 Empty John 12:14-16

John 12:14-16 King James Version (KJV)
14 And Jesus, when he had found a young (ancestor of the donkey), sat thereon; as it is written,
15 Fear not, daughter of Sion: behold, thy King cometh, sitting on an (ancestor of the donkey)'s colt.
16 These things understood not his disciples at the first: but when Jesus was glorified, then remembered they that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things unto him.

    John 2:14-16

NSB 14 He found the merchants who sold oxen, sheep and doves. The moneychangers were sitting nearby. 15 He made a whip of cords, and chased them all out of the temple, including the sheep and the oxen. He poured out the coins of the moneychangers and overturned the tables. 16 He told those who sold doves: »Take these things away. Do not make my Father’s house a house of merchandise.«

These are my thoughts, please share yours.

14 Other gospels mention that Jesus had His disciples get the donkey but He did tell them where to find it, it was a donkey that was never rode by anyone, donkey were stubborn so for Him to ride it showed His power over creation, because He did not have to break it till the donkey went, Jesus wanted it to go so it went as the donkey’s creator, Jesus wanted.

15 We see in the book of 1 Kings of how David had Solomon ride through to town as a donkey to show that Solomon was king, Jesus was and is and will be King, daughter of Zion referred to Israel no longer a nation but still a people. Again people thought He referred to overthrowing Rome and becoming king but Jesus would start a Spiritual kingdom by Him defeating not Rome but death and sin.

16 We can understand completely until He is ready for us and until we see Him for who He is we can not see the truth completely until we have Him who is the truth make us ready to see His truth.

this was a example to show what ever god says must come to pass. There is scripture that prophesies of the king and what he shall do and suffer. and all throughout the scriptures of mathew luke mark and john these things were fulfilled
