Zechariah 14:1 Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee. 2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3 Then shall the LORD go forth, and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle. 4 And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. 5 And ye shall flee to the valley of the mountains; for the valley of the mountains shall reach unto Azal: yea, ye shall flee, like as ye fled from before the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah: and the LORD my God shall come, and all the saints with thee. 6 And it shall come to pass in that day, that the light shall not be clear, nor dark: 7 But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light. 8 And it shall be in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the former sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. 9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one. 10 All the land shall be turned as a plain from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem: and it shall be lifted up, and inhabited in her place, from Benjamin's gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king's winepresses. 11 And men shall dwell in it, and there shall be no more utter destruction; but Jerusalem shall be safely inhabited. 12 And this shall be the plague wherewith the LORD will smite all the people that have fought against Jerusalem; Their flesh shall consume away while they stand upon their feet, and their eyes shall consume away in their holes, and their tongue shall consume away in their mouth. 13 And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great tumult from the LORD shall be among them; and they shall lay hold every one on the hand of his neighbour, and his hand shall rise up against the hand of his neighbour. 14 And Judah also shall fight at Jerusalem; and the wealth of all the heathen round about shall be gathered together, gold, and silver, and apparel, in great abundance. 15 And so shall be the plague of the horse, of the mule, of the camel, and of the ass, and of all the beasts that shall be in these tents, as this plague. 16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles. 17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain. 18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. 19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles. 20 In that day shall there be upon the bells of the horses, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD; and the pots in the LORD's house shall be like the bowls before the altar. 21 Yea, every pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shall be holiness unto the LORD of hosts: and all they that sacrifice shall come and take of them, and seethe therein: and in that day there shall be no more the Canaanite in the house of the LORD of hosts.

Some things that this prophetic chapter reveals about what shall come in the near future:

Vs 2: That Jerusalem will be be cut off and will be taken captive.

We are seeing this unfold, as Olmert's peace talks include diving Jerusalem, and making it 2 Capitals, one for Israel, and one for Palestine.

Vs. 3: The LORD will do battle for Jerusalem

Vs 4-5: This tells us how the LORD will come and do battle, and he will bring all his saints with him, into this battle.

Vs. 4 also tells us that when the LORD comes, that the Mt of Olives, will be moved ut of its place, and the mountains will move towards the North and the South...this verse gives an impression of a great earthquake.

Vs 5 goes on to tell us that it will be like a great earthquake, and how far the valley will now reach that has been formed.

Vs 6-7: You will not be able to differentiate between daytime and nighttime.

Vs 8: Living Waters will now flow through Jerusalem...and there will be no draughts.

Vs 9: We see the LORD will be KING over HIS LAND.

Vs 10-11: Jersualem's First Gate, the Gate of Benjamin will be restored, and Jerusalem will be safely inhabited.

Vs 12 tells what is to happen to those who came against Jerusalem...it sounds very much like an Eliptom Bomb, that Russia has had for many years...

Continuing in Vs 13: Speaks of a war between Jerusalem's neighbors.

Remember that right now, Olmert is working on splitting Jerusalem as the Capital of both Israel and Palestine...something that has been unheard of, until now!

Vs 14: This verse speaks of the war that will be fought in Jerusalem, and that Judah (the Jews) will take the spoils of the war, which is all the gold, silver, and apparel, in great abundance.

Vs 15: There shall be plagues that affect horses, mules, camels, etc.

Recently we have heard of a type of plague that is affecting camels...the cause thay think is linked to the feed that was coming out of China and has also been a problem in the USA, with our pet foods.

Vs 16-19: Every nation that has fought against Jerusalem, will be reqired to come to Jerusalem for the Feast of Tabernacles, and worhip the KING. Those who refuse, will not see any rain in their land. The families of Egypt will face plagues and famine along with draught, for not keeping the Feast of Tabernacles. This will extend to all nations who refuse to worship the KING during the Feast of Tabernacles.

Vs 20-21: All the horses will wear bells, whic shall read, HOLINESS UNTO THE LORD, and all the pots in Jersualem and Judah, will be placed in the TEMPLE as bowls for the ALTER. There will be no foreignor in the land any longer.

    Isaiah 24:5-6

"The earth also is defiled under the inhabitants thereof; because they have transgressed the laws, changed the ordinance, broken the everlasting covenant. Therefore hath the curse devoured the earth, and they that dwell in the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left."

    Isaiah 28:13-19

"But the word of the LORD was unto them precept upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here are little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken. Wherefore hear the word of the LORD, ye scornful men, that rule this people, which is in Jerusalem. Because ye have said, We have made a covenant with death, and with hell are we at agreement; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, it shall not come unto us: for we have made lies our refuge, and under falsehood have we hid ourselves. Therefore thus saith the LORD GOD, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste. Judgment also will I lay to the line, and righteousness to the plummet: and hail; shall sweep away refuge of lies, and the waters shall overflow thy hiding place. And your covenant with death shall be disannulled, and your agreement with hell shall not stand; when the overflowing scourge shall pass through, then ye shall be trodden down by it. From the time that it goeth forth it shall take you: for morning by morning shall it pass over, by day and by night: and it shall be a vexation only to understand the report."

Psalms 79:1 O god, the heathen are come into thine inheritance; thy holy temple have they defiled; they have laid Jerusalem on heaps. 2 The dead bodies of thy servants have they given to be meat unto the fowls of the heaven, the flesh of thy saints unto the beasts of the earth. 3 Their blood have they shed like water round about Jerusalem; and there was none to bury them. 4 We are become a reproach to our neighbours, a scorn and derision to them that are round about us. 5 How long, LORD? wilt thou be angry for ever? shall thy jealousy burn like fire? 6 Pour out thy wrath upon the heathen that have not known thee, and upon the kingdoms that have not called upon thy name. 7 For they have devoured Jacob, and laid waste his dwelling place. 8 O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us: for we are brought very low. 9 Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake. 10 Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is their God? let him be known among the heathen in our sight by the revenging of the blood of thy servants which is shed. 11 Let the sighing of the prisoner come before thee; according to the greatness of thy power preserve thou those that are appointed to die; 12 And render unto our neighbours sevenfold into their bosom their reproach, wherewith they have reproached thee, O Lord. 13 So we thy people and sheep of thy pasture will give thee thanks for ever: we will shew forth thy praise to all generations.
