I just shared about Missionaries in Gaza, with our women's missions group at church. Some facinating facts are in the WORD concerning Gaza. Also historical documentation, about the Philistines, who were a part of one of five cities in Gaza; Philistia. In 132-135 CE, there was the Bar Kohba Revolt. This is the first mention of Palestine. It was called Syria-Palestinia, and renamed Judea. You can read more about this here:

    132–135 CE
Bar Kokhba (Bar Kosiba) leads a doomed Jewish revolt against Rome in response to Hadrian's actions. In the aftermath of the revolt, Hadrian renamed the province ofJudea as Syria Palaestina.
